Inman Park Dentistry is proud to be a part of the historic, beautiful, and vibrant Inman Park neighborhood. Founded in 2006 by Dr. Walter Leeks, and now owned (since 2013) by Dr. Alex Rodriguez, Inman Park Dentistry has been seeing after the oral health of your neighbors for decades.
Dr. Rodriguez, along with his associates Dr. Megan Butler and Dr. Marc Macchiaverna, have built a loyal following of patients who appreciate their comfortable, caring, and straightforward approach.
Our philosophy stresses minimally-invasive dentistry, utilizing modern procedures to implement practical solutions for functional, long-lasting, and beautiful smiles.
As a general rule, our doctors tend to be very conservative in their treatment recommendations, and will often elect to leave alone some minor tooth issues such as: chips, staining, and normal wear and tear. Sometimes even for small cavities all we do is note and track them over time, before electing to restore them as needed. For some patients that may not be the right approach, but overall it works well for us.
A dentist since 2004, and owner of Inman Park Dentistry since 2013, “I have a passion for working with my hands and a desire to create, which is why I became a dentist. When I'm not busy doing dentistry, I am a daily bicycle commuter and part-time artist. For ten years I lived in the nearby Reynoldstown neighborhood, but as my family outgrew that house, I now live in Ormewood Park with my wife, two kids, and two dogs.
An Associate at Inman Park Dentistry since 2019, Dr. Butler grew up in Alabama, and attended dental school in Boston. She and her husband live in the nearby Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta.
"As a child, I remember always asking my parents for various Arts and Crafts kits for my birthday: clay sculptures, jewelry making, water color sets etc. As I grew older, that desire to create has stayed with me, so dentistry was an obvious fit for me."
Originally from South Carolina, our newest doctor was in the medical device industry in the Northeast before settling in ATL with his wife and daughter when he changed to a career in dentistry.
Inspired by his childhood dentist who eased his mother's fears, he chose a career that combined his love of working with his hands and communicating with people. He finds it rewarding to create a calm, supportive environment for patients, helping to eliminate their fears about visiting the dentist.
I have held various positions in dentistry since 2010, working as a Dental Assistant, Patient Coordinator, and now Office Manager. My clinical and administrative backgrounds have been useful in performing my duties. It is my pleasure to connect with patients on a deeper level - helping and caring for them.
I'm a native of Atlanta. In my leisure time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and spending time with my family.
I also have not given Dr. Rodriguez my biographical information for this page. I bet he is so sad about it.
A Georgia native with a big smile and a bigger heart! I love being the friendly face you see when you walk through the door. Whether greeting patients, answering questions, or helping things run smoothly, I’m about making people feel comfortable, cared for, and welcome.
Outside of work, I enjoy spoiling my adorable nieces & nephews, spending quality time with my sweet dog Coco, or getting in a good workout. I enjoy connecting with others and bringing positive energy into every space I step into.
Originally from Chicago, I believe that clinical excellence should be paired with genuine warmth and attentiveness.
My career has been shaped by a commitment to creating comfortable, reassuring experiences for every patient. Drawing on professional principles from hospitality industry, I’ve cultivated an environment where empathy, clear communication, and personalized care are as valued as technical precision.
When not greeting patients, I enjoy walks in the park and traveling to tropical beaches.
My goal is to help our patients achieve the best oral hygiene on a continual basis. I take great pride in my work and patient care, and enjoy seeing patients smile.
I came here from Sierra Leone in 1990 and Georgia has been "on my mind” ever since I graduated from Georgia Southwestern University with a degree in Sociology. I have one young daughter.
I have a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Clayton State University and thoroughly enjoy taking care of my patients.
My goal is to ensure every patient enjoys their visit and looks forward to seeing us! I strive to provide an experience that is comfortable, relaxing, and leaves you feeling renewed.
During my off time I enjoy being active, loving on my fur babies, and going on travel adventures with my son, Spencer. I can't wait to see your smile!
I've worked here for nearly 15 years (except for a couple of years around the pandemic). But I need to give Dr. Rodriguez some updated biographical information and a new headshot for this page, because this one is 10 years old.
I‘m a veteran of the U.S. Marines from Milledgeville, GA. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene from Clayton State University.
I chose dental hygiene because I've always been passionate about health and helping people feel confident about themselves. Oral health is vital to overall wellness, and I love that we have a direct impact, not just on someones smile, but on their total body health.
I love spending my time off with my husband, traveling and eating at new restaurants.
A native of Atlanta, I have dedicated two decades to dentistry, and have been a hygienist since 2014.
My passion for oral health began in childhood and has grown into a fulfilling career helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles.
I express my creativity through sewing decorative pillows and curtains. I enjoy traveling to new places and am an avid football fan. Known for my professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail, I bring both warmth and expertise to my work and personal life.
I have a passion for working with others and offering gentle, skillful care. I immigrated from Iran in 2000 to California where I earned my dental assistance degree from ROP in San Juan Capistrano.
I moved to Georgia in 2007 and sought my Expanded-Duties degree from Georgia Gwinnett College. I have experience in both private and corporate offices, offering high quality treatment for 20 years.
During my free time I enjoy going on hikes, trying out food places with my daughter, and traveling.
After graduating from dental assisting school in 2015, I remember nervously driving to my first interview thinking, "how I will sell myself?" But I thought, just be yourself!
Our smiles tell a lot, but they can also hide a lot. I take pride in connecting with each of my patients, and it is extremely gratifying for me to literally be at their side as they reach goals along their dental health journey.
Otherwise, I enjoy spending quality time with my teenage son, traveling, & especially eating!
I've been here since the beginning of the year, and I still need to give Dr. ARod a short bio for this website. I'll work on it soon...
